The American Locomotive Company, affectionately known as Alco, produced a broad variety of four stroke locomotives during the early diesel years. Our sample here has a multi-chime horn that is perfect for the FA/FB-1, a popular diesel circa 1950. Notice how the BigSound™ digital sound unit reproduces the rumble hiss and pop of this classic engine. The multi-chime horn is typical of a 3 tone Leslie used in the 1950s. This sound is also available in a single chime version perfect for the RS/3 and other early ALCO diesels. |
